BEVERLY began her drag career in March 1992 with her trademark two male dancers and quickly established herself as one of the most popular acts inWestern Sydney. Beverly and her boys were regular performers at venues across Western Sydney including: ‘MIDNIGHT FACTORY’ in Penrith, ‘ORANA’ in Guilford, ‘SKELSEYS’ in Carramar, ‘CASTAWAYS’ in Parramatta, ‘DOLPHINS’ in Guildford/Parramatta, ’FRANNY’S PLACE/PASH in Parramatta, & ‘CEASARS’ in Petersham, ‘ALBURY HOTEL’ – ‘EXCHANGE HOTEL’ – ‘THE TAXI CLUB’ – ‘THE MIDNIGHTSHIFT’ in Darlinghurst.
‘ORANA’ was a social/support group for gays and lesbians in South West Sydney from 1995-1997, with the money raised from their regular dances going to the HIV Medical Trust Fund at Liverpool Hospital.
‘CASTAWAYS’ held regular fortnightly dances in Parramatta helping to raise money for C.S.N. West & later The Western suburbs Haven – both organisations assist people living with HIV/AIDS in Western Sydney. In October 1998 at Castaways benefit night, $3,300 was Raised and in May 1999 they Raised $2,525 for the Western Suburbs Haven.
Beverly also organised THE WORLD AIDS DAY 1999 Event in the West with the $3000 raised going to the Bigge Park Medical Centre in Liverpool…
1997 and 1998 saw Beverly and her boys represent Western Sydney in the Gay and Lesbian ‘FROCK AT THE ROCKS’ Festival. They also walked in several Mardi Gras Parades for C.S.N. West, The Haven, the C.B.D., Dolphins in 2006 & Your West Divas in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 .
1998 & 1999 – Saw Beverly as a columnist for the ‘Western SSO Supplement’ of the Sydney Star Observer highlighting events in Western Sydney.
In 1999 - Beverly became the first drag queen in the west to win a prestigious ”DIVA” Award. Later in the same year she won a ‘WORLD AIDS DAY’ Partnership Award for her fundraising work and an ‘ACON’ West Community Award for her ongoing support and achievements.
In 2000 – Beverly was honoured to be the only drag queen in Western Sydney invited to be part of the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony. The millennium also saw Beverly pose nude for a portrait painted by artist Michael Moore; causing a scandal when it was exhibited.
In 2001 – Beverly retired from performing with her boys, but continued with her charity work & Occasional Guest Appearances From 2002 To NOW At : HEAVEN SOCIAL DANCE , THE POLLYS CLUB , THE 3 SISERS SOCIAL GROUP , KALEODOSCOPE SOCIAL DANCE , ARQ SYDNEY , THE TAXI CLUB , THE STOEWALL HOTEL , RICHARDS ON THE PARK - CALEY VALE , NORTONS HOTEL ON NORTON - LEICHHARDT , COSMOPOLITAN BAR – PARRAMATTA , CASTROS NIGHT CLUB & UNITY DANCE PARTYS WOLLONGONG .
In December 2001 – Beverly became an On-Air Presenter for “QUEER OUT WEST” 89.3Fm on Every Monday Night From 10pm to 12am. Please visit their website at Queer Out West
In 2005 – Beverly won the C.B.D. Award for Member of the Year. In September 2005 Beverly took on the role as the Entertainment Coordinator/Host for Diamonds & Pearls Dance at Moorebank.
In 2006 – Queer Out West was nominated for a DIVA for ‘Outstanding Achievement in Media’. Beverly still enjoys being part of the team and celebrated 7 years with Queer Out West in December 2008.
Between September 2006 and March 2007 Beverly went on to start ”Your Westy Divas”, a show at Diamonds & Pearls, a G.L.B.T.I.Q Dance at the Moorebank Sports Club.
In February 2007 - Beverly and Lola Del Arte, Won the prestigous award of “Miss Fair Day 2007″ the first duo to ever win the crown.
March 31st 2007 - Beverly celebrated her 40th birthday and 15 years of drag with a big charity night at ‘Diamonds and Pearls’. It was a fundraiser for The Western Suburbs Haven Inc and was held at the Moorebank Sports Club. $2200 was raised on the night.
On April 4th 2007 Beverly announced her resignation as Entertainment Coordinator at ‘Diamonds and Pearls’. It was an unfortunate decision as she enjoyed doing it for the previous 15 months. In pursuit of a fabulous new adventure, Beverly started up HEAVEN Social Group in June 2007 At The Parramatta Club.
In January 2008 – HEAVEN Moved to The Rosehill Bowling Club until September 2008. In 2009 HEAVEN Moved to The Northmead Bowling Club were it continues to run every 2nd month.
On April 15th 2007 - Beverly and “Your Westy Divas” WON Best Dressed Group 2007 at The Mardi Gras Parade Awards.
On August 20th 2007 – Beverly and Marcia were Presenters at the DIVA Awards 2007 At The AJC Randwick. Beverly Buttercup And The Team At QUEER OUT WEST 89.3FM WON Outstanding Achievement In Media.

On March 8th 2008 – Heaven Social Dance Raffles Raised $1080. For The Western Suburbs Haven Inc.
On June 7th 2008 – Beverly Compered The 3 Sisters Social Group Inc. Disco And Talent Quest For The 5th Year Running At Blackheath Communithy Hall.
On July 4th 2008 – Beverly performed for the first Out West Dance Party at the Sweeneys Function Centre, Ingleburn.
On the 18th August 2008 – Beverly Presented At The “DIVA 2008″ Awards At The Paddington Town Hall. Winners included our Darling Maxi Shield (Queen Of Hearts).
On 30th August 2008 - The COASTAL CASTAWAYS FORSTER ”$1240 was Raised” for the Prostate Cancer Fund At The Pacific Palms Recreation Club.
On 10th September 2008 – Beverly was interviewed by ”Time Out Sydney Magazine ” Issue 44 ” Gay West “.
On 31st October 2008 - Beverly performed with Lola and Melicious at St Marys Leagues Club For The 2008 Girls Night In. The event was to raise money For The Cancer Council Of N.S.W. On the same evening Beverly was M.C At The Out West Dance Party At Sweeneys At Scencic Hills, Ingleburn.
7th March 2009 -”Beverly Buttercup and Your Westy Divas” were Walking in The Mardi Gras Parade for the 3rd time As a Group Of Western Sydney Drag Queens And Their Friends.
Finally in June 2009 – After 17 Years of Drag, Beverly became a Committee Member of The Pollys Club Inc. Her First Night as a Committee Member Was a Hoot and The Hall was Packed to The Rafters. The Pollys Club
Heaven at Northmead Bowling Club on 20th June 2009 Presented: “Drag All Star Event” at Heaven’s 2nd Birthday Party Featuring: “A Charity Fundraiser For The Western Suburbs Haven Inc”. Thank you to all for donating your time on Saturday night. The night was a HUGE success with about 200 patrons and Raising $1800 For The Western Suburbs Haven.
Diva ”Drag ! Drag ! Drag !” Fundraiser on August 1st 2009 at The Oxford Hotel saw Three Levels Of Drag From Sydney’s finest, including Beverly Buttercup.
Heaven at Northmead Bowling Club on 8th August 2009 Presented: ”STAR SEARCH”. Searching for a new ”Westy Diva” to join the Production Shows. Beverly will remain in Charge of The Microphone (Host), Gracie will be the Entertainment Bitch, Lola will (hopefully) Whip up the Costumes, Sue will Tell us How to Dance and Laydee will be our new drag baby! What a hoot it should be!

Well OMFG! its 2011 – I can finally say ” no more rehearsals “. My days of production shows are over, at least temporarily. With the huge success that’s taking place at Heaven, I have decided to step aside in february & april and put all my efforts into promoting and organising the night, as well as continuing to emcee .
March 05th 2011 - Will see Beverly participate in the parade for the 16th time with partner in crime Laydee KinMee, walk/work in the Mardis Gras Parade and then off to the party.
